尊敬的各位同仁：

 

东湖社会发展研究院及瑞典罗尔·瓦伦堡人权与人道法研究所拟于2018年12月11-12日在武汉召开本年度的中国残障政策研讨会，本次会议名为：“十年——为CRPD改变的世界和我们”，以回应《残疾人权利公约》生效十周年，回顾全球范围内，尤其是中国残障事业取得的成就，以及从多学科及交叉视角研讨残障政策和权利保护相关议题。

 

同时，2018年是中国改革开放40周年和中国残疾人联合会成立30周年。我国残障人权利保障方面的探索创新和良好经验，在国家法治建设进程中，逐步以制度形式得到确认和推广。为此，本次会议也将探讨残障权利保护的“中国经验”。

 

在上述背景下，我们诚邀各地从事残障权利与政策研究及实务工作的同行，特别是残障组织及社群的研究者和实践者交流经验，共同提升研究者、决策者和实务工作者的残障政策研究能力，并建立跨领域、多学科交流与合作的渠道。

 

本研讨会举办的宗旨之一是促进国内外残障领域的学术交流，优秀参会论文将结集发表于《残障权利研究》。研讨会鼓励参会者运用性别视角来进行残障政策研究，并优先考虑在《残障权利研究》发表有性别视角的论文。

Call for Papers and Participation for the Conference on Multi-disciplinary Research of Disability Policy in China

On October 8-10, 2018, the East-Lake Institute for Social Advancement (EISA) at Wuhan, China and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) will organize a conference on Multi-disciplinary Research of Disability Policy in China. The theme of the conference is “10 Years: the Changed World and Us by CRPD” in response to the 10th anniversary of the CRPD entry into force, to review the worldwide development of disability policies and practices in China and shed light on the multi-disciplinary research on disability policy and rights protection in China, including an intersectional perspective.

The conference is also contextualized in the 40 years’ anniversary of the Reform and Opening Up in China, and the 30 years’ anniversary of the foundation of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. The good practice of the rights protection of the persons with disabilities has been eventually institutionalized and promoted during the process of establishing rule of law. This conference will then explore the experience of realizing disability rights in China.

This conference therefore aims to strengthen the research-based advocacy on disability policy amongst academia, disabled people’s organizations, practitioners and researchers from the disability communities, and government institutions from diverse disciplinary, and promote the institutionalized dialogue between researchers, policy makers, and practitioners who have dedicated themselves to disability rights.

This conference will continue to focus on international and regional academic exchange and further support to the serial publication of Disability Rights Studies in China. It encourages participants to use a gender perspective to conduct disability policy research, and prioritizes the publication of gender perspective papers in the Disability Rights Studies in China.

On this occasion, it is our pleasure to invite you to contribute to the exchange and participate in this Conference. You are welcome to prepare your thesis abstract corresponding to one or several of the listed priority topics and send it to us (office.eisa@gmail.com) by June 30 2018. Upon on your abstract, we will send you a formal invitation and please reserve your time for the meeting.
